Morning Sickness Remedies

While being pregnant is a blessing for all women, morning sickness could be a bummer. Although some pregnant women experience aversion to certain food smells and tastes, others have to vomit after morning or lunch meals to eliminate the nauseous feeling they develop. The first trimester of the pregnancy mainly develops nausea or what is being termed commonly as morning sickness. The majority of pregnant women experience morning sickness on some level or the other. Therefore, all pregnant women must be aware of these morning sickness remedies that can be followed at home.

  1. Break your meals into smaller portions
  • Nausea could become worse by leaving the stomach.
  • Pregnant women must practice consumption of meals in smaller portions, more than the typical four times a day.
  • Eating dry cereals, bread or even plain crackers could help reduce the feeling of nausea.
  1. Eat ginger
  • Ginger is a strongly flavored food that is often used to clear the taste pallet while eating food.
  • Chewing on raw ginger can help to reduce nausea by settling the stomach every time food makes a pregnant woman nauseous.
  1. Eliminate greasy food from the diet
  • While you must have a balanced healthy meal every single day from the very first day of your pregnancy, eliminating fatty, spicy or extremely sweet foods is helpful.
  • Foods that contain high salt or sugar, grease, and fat increase the chances of developing gas or acid which boosts the nauseous feeling in a pregnant woman.
